“I am Protecting my Future"is in EXPO 2016

The EXPO 2016 Booth of "I am Protecting my Future" social responsibility Project, being operated by our institute under the auspices of The First Lady of Turkey and by the coordination of The Ministry of Food Agriculture and Livestock and the cooperation of The Ministry of Education, has been visited by honorable President of Turkish Republic, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and his honourable wife Mrs. Emine Erdoğan. The honorable President of Turkish Republic, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and his honourable wife Mrs. Emine Erdoğan were accompanied by President of Turkish Grand National Assembly Mr. İsmail KAHRAMAN, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Mevlüt ÇAVUŞOĞLU, the Minister of Interior Affairs Mr. Efkan ALA, the Minister of Food Agriculture and Livestock Mr. Faruk ÇELİK, the former Minister of Food Agriculture and Livestock Mr. Mehmet Mehdi EKER, FAO Assistant Director-General and Regional Representative for Europe and Central Asia Vladimir RAKHMANIN, the Governor of Antalya Mr. Muammer TÜRKER and the Mayor of Antalya Mr. Menderes TÜREL.

The honorable President and his wife Mrs. Emine Erdoğan have been informed by the director of our Institute Dr. Aynur ÖZBAHÇE about soil and soil formation, water cycle, soil organisms and erosion using visual settings and experiments,and then they planted some seeds with the children. The children presented their symbolic Green Books on which they had been working since the project's kick-off ceremony in October 2015. Besides, the children presented their seedlings of tomatoes, pepper, parsley and lavender to the President Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and his wife Mrs. Emine Erdoğan. The President Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and his wife Mrs. Emine Erdoğan who tasted the tomatoe grown by a student, have spent joyful time with the children.
