Packaging Technologies and Mineral Department

Packaging Technolojies and Mineral Department provides laboratory services with its qualified staff. Besides routine analysis services about mineral, food contact materials and articles, the staff implement method development and validation, research projects and training services on the main areas of activities.

Activities performed in the department are given below:

  1. Semi-quantitative analysis of metal (Al, As, Cu, Fe, Cd, Sn, Cr, Pb, Ni)
  • Physical analyses of can materials (Seam control, tin & lacquer coating, pinhole defect control)
  • Spesific migration analysis of metal materials and articles (Al)
  • Total and spesific migration analyses of plastic materials and articles
  • Determination of polymer type of plastic materials and articles
  • Physical analyses of glass containers (Thermal shock resistance)
  • Colour fastness analysis of dyed paper, board and plastic materials
  • Metal analysis of paper based materials (As, Pb, Ti)
  • Mineral and metal residue analyses of food, water and feed
  • Metal residue analysis of effluent water
