Agricultural Economics

Mission:

In the line with the principles of sustainable agriculture;

  • Essentially conducting socio-economic research activities on the subjects that are the activity of the Institute,

In order to improve the general living conditions and contribute to the establishment of agricultural policies by increasing the production and revenues of rural producers;

  • To prepare and carry out projects on agricultural management, agricultural policies, agricultural marketing, agricultural organization, agricultural extension, environmental economics, rural sociology and similar issues for rural and agricultural economies at regional, national and international level.
  • In order to increase the contribution of the agricultural sector to the economy, to conduct research on the effectiveness of investment, production, rural development, control and support policies.
  • To do impact assessment studies of R&D activities carried out within our institute.
  • To cooperate with public and private research institutions and universities in Turkey and abroad and to develop and conduct local and foreign projects.
  • To fulfill the other duties assigned by the TAGEM and Directorate of the Institute.

Vision:

Conducting socio-economic research with a multi-disciplinary approach. On the other hand, it is to continue its activities as a more powerful department that provides solutions to the research and policies and provides solutions for socio-economic problems.
